Lockdown, social spacing and quarantine have been a disaster generally speaking.
The young are ignoring masks and sanitisation and the elderly are more complient.
The law seems to be impotent.
This virus will not go away until a vaccine is produced which will be a game changer.
That is my view based on personal experiences in a UK seaside town.
We are now in a state of modified herd immunity....the weak and the aged will be sacrificed to the benefit of the younger members of society.
I have been very grateful to those younger than me for the past months, they have helped me immeasurably by continuing to work, deliver and otherwise assist.
I know folk of all age groups who have bent, broken or completely ignored the guidance and advice, it hasn't just been the young.
I think it's up to the elderly and vulnerable (me) to take precautions to protect ourselves. We need the young out there working. Without them doing all the jobs that keep our society functioning, us old people would be up a creek without a paddle.
