Are they worth buying yet? I have an old dyson that is the bane of my life and would love a cordless vac, I have read mixed reviews about them, mostly bad unfortunately! Anyone here have a cordless vac and can they do as good a job as the corded types?

I've had a gtech for years. I wouldn't choose anything else now. The Shark and Dyson, I tried, but were really heavy.
I have a Vax Blade.Light and efficient.
I have the Dyson and love it. Infact, we're just looking to get another one.
I've gone back to my gTech after trying a corded Shark that was too heavy.
You do need to empty it frequently...though mine is an early one.

(We have a cordless Dyson and wouldn't have anything else, btw)
Dyson cordless every time. Think of the hassle of getting your vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard, all tubes, cables, etc., which are always tangled up.

Not with the Dyson. Hanging on the wall. Take it off, hoover, put it back.

Should have bought one years ago.
