Small Heater

I’m on the look out for a small, efficient heater - it’ll only be used for a couple of hours an evening in a v small box room. Thanks

There are various companies doing them now - I got mine from Lidl.

I'd go for an oil-filled radiator. The Clarke brand, which is sold by Machine Mart, is excellent. I use one, next to my desk, to heat my living room. (Even though you might be able to get away with using one of the cheaper, lower-powered models in a very small box room, I still suggest considering a 2kW or 2.5kW model. Multi-finned radiators are more efficient and they'll give you an extra boost of heat on a really cold night but you can still use them on lower settings for normal use):

(The nearest Machine Mart stores to you are 26 miles away in Worcester or 29 miles away in Gloucester but they'll deliver online orders to your home for just £4.99).

A caravan showroom would be a good place to look as campers like small heaters. You can get ceramic fan heaters which will probably be right up your street. Some examples here:

If you only want it for short periods, then I'd suggest that a ceramic fan heater like this might be better than an oil filled radiator :

We've got a similar one and it's very useful when we need some localised warmth but don't want to heat the whole house.

Thanks, there is a radiator in there but I have the heating on all the time in the winter but only need to heat that room for a couple of hours in the evening (I don’t heat upstairs, the kids all moan that it’s too hot) - girl uses it when boy #1 is at uni. Can’t have the one Sunny Dave suggested because of the cat.
