As you can see, I've hit the magic number and have been checking them out! (No concessions from Gordon Brown though. You have to hit 65 before you get a slightly increased personal taxation allowance.)
As a sort of side perk akin to the buss pass you can park in your area 'park and ride' and thus park your car for free without the hassle of finding a space in town and then paying for it.
Also of course reductions at local sports clubs(football/rugby)etc.
