And the fact that it wasn't well received explains just why they've fallen back on the Queen catalogue. Wonder just how many tracks from 'The Cosmos Rocks' album are featured on their tours with AL?
By the way, i must have slept during 2008 as i do not recall having even heard that they had released this album. That's two 'Queen' albums i do not have, now. The other being the awful Flash Gordon soundtrack.

IMO, it shouldn't be classed as a 'Queen' album, a collaboration (Queen+ Paul Rodgers)after Freddies passing and that's what it is. They wanted to write some new stuff, I see no problem with that at all even using the Queen name why shouldn't they.
I'm fully aware of you distaste of Flash btw. Hope that you don't watch ads ;-)

Sabbath are done, but there were three out of the four original members still (back) in the band at the end:

Yes i know, Jim, but i'm referring to the time when Ozzy was doing his own thing - aided by Geezer - and Bill Ward had jacked it all in. That left Tony Iommi as the sole original member of the band. Bill Ward game back ever so briefly when the band reunited. The point i was making was that Sabbath continued to release new material throughout all their re-incarnations.
