Lime Tree Plant Additional Question

Well I hope I am not speaking too soon but its turning out really well. I have replanted it and now water just once a week but have included a citrus plant supplement - so now I feel I can ask if there is any way I can take cuttings from it? Or is that not going to be possible

The RHS website says "Citrus plants are normally sold as mature plants, as they are quite slow-growing. You can try propagating plants yourself by taking semi-ripe cuttings . . .", with a link to here (for advice on how to go about it):

Is your intention to grow a number of plants to produce limes ?

No not really - I think they make nice patio plants

No problem.. I just didn't want you to be let down when it is likely to take 5 to 10 years to bare fruit.

Can I just ask a supplementary question - am I right in thinking I can take a leaf cut it in half and use some hormone rooting powder and then pop in a pot - it will then germinate into a plant?
I can't believe its going to be that easy

Try air layering - no fancy rooting powders, just poly bag & compost.

That was really interesting watching that - obviously my plant no where near ready for that but it’s certainly something to aspire to
