Sony Camcorder

On playback my frames normally run continuously into each other but periodically they freeze for a second. I thought it might be because I shut the view screen between shots or the recorder shuts down if not recording for a certain time. Can't work it out. Does it maybe only record continuously up to a certain set time? Maybe I can adjust in the settings. I've tried contacting Sony but they're useless

Not only has Dillon asked this question 3 times today, he also asked it on 25th July. On that occasion I asked him for some clarification and he couldn't be bothered to reply. On this occasion I won't waste my time.
