Hi

We are getting a divorce, we have a joint tenancy with the council and I will be remaining in the house with our toddler.

My husband is on a low income, no savings, no friends with space for him to stay, debt etc

The only chance he has of any housing is if the council help him. Will they?

Hes technically not moving out voluntarily.

Will the council help him? He has an appt to see them but not for a week and I need to know what we can do.

He not only needs somewhere to live but somewhere our toddler can go for joint custody.

Thanks

have you looked on your council's website, you might also ask Shelter.

Hi Woofgang, yes tried both but it's not very clear.

Will try calling Shelter Monday.
If he has a low income could you be the one to move out? Would that be easier?
Have you thought about him staying in the house but living separately? You seem to care about him, maybe it would work for a while at least.
