I love country smells and muck-spreading is one of them. Naomi - you can stick to your stinky Chanel which makes my nose prickle.

I can tolerate it except for chicken sh...! Cows and pigs acceptable, it's all part of rural living.

Chanel No. 5 smells worse on me than muck spreading. I haven't tried any other Chanel perfumes. I must admit the windows and doors all stay open except if it's chicken poo.

We are all on our own sewage systems round here. No mains drains (or gas) I must admit that sometimes things get pongy. There was no mains water until the 70s.
