As for "Uncle Ben" and "Aunt Jemima", that's because no way southern Americans would ever have called a black person "Mr" or "Mrs".

Just on a practical note, I've noticed that Uncle Ben's isn't that good anyway. It's got a definite tendency to clump together into molten lumps when you stick it in the microwave - more so than other brands, including the supermarket own brands that are half the price.
