Hi All,
Probably no one will know the answer to this as its a bit of a specialist subject, i think, but worth a try.
Recording a band, bought a device that connects to a computer, it has 4 inputs to record 4 instruments/singer at the same time, so you can edit the volume and add effects later etc. Tried the free programme " audacity", but it can only record 2 tracks at one time, anyone know of any software that can do 4? I know that "cubase" probably can, but its around £300 . As the recording is of a amateur band, i don't want to spend silly money for a one off session.
thanks.
God bless.

Audacity can handle up to 16 tracks.

Reaper is a fully featured Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) used by both amateur and professional studios. It's far more suitable than Audacity for recording a band and comes with a 60 day free trial. A licence for personal/small studio use is on 60 dollars.
