Like Fitzer, I can't see any connection between the Mauve Project and the laptop in your link (which simply happens to be coloured mauve - see pictures 6, 7 and 8 in the illustrations).
It's a decent enough laptop but, unless your mother needs to be able to store lots of large videos (or similarly massive files) on the machine, it's got a hard drive that's far, far bigger than she might ever need while, at the same time, it's got less RAM than might be optimal. Further, as I've just indicated, it uses a conventional hard drive, rather than a solid state drive (which is what you really should be looking for in a new laptop these days - it makes Windows run much, much faster).
If you're prepared to consider a refurbished model (in first class condition, from a supplier that I've used many times and I've 100% confidence in), this deal gets you over a thousand quid's worth of business-class computer for three hundred quid:
