The problem with the figures given for deaths due to Covid19 [C19] in both the USA and other countries is that numbers are subject to errors. It's a well known fact that deaths are routinely being attributed to C19 when this is not the case. It's one thing dying *with* C19 and quite another dying *of* C19. Look's bad , it is bad but no as bad as spanish flue but could get close over 2 years. It gives hope tho that virus's like spanish flue and hopefully Corona can pretty much die out after awhile

Because there was no record of the population at the time, it is impossible to give any accurate answer to how much of the indigenous population of the Americas was reduced by the arrival of European "explorers", but a figure of around 90% is generally given and, by far, the vast majority of these deaths was caused by disease brought into the country against which the local population had absolutely no immunity.
