For those of you who are married/have partners etc.. How on earth do you think of what on earth to buy year after year?? Or do you not bother? Mr Smow and I have been married for 12 years. Apart from golf he has absolutely no hobbies, he doesn’t read, he isn’t interested in the garden, cars, anything lol - he’s just a workaholic! Who watches a bit of tv when he isn’t working! I’ve literally no flipping idea what on earth to buy him this year!!
We don't buy each other presents for birthdays or xmas. Never have done. To me it's pointless pressure. If I see something he might like or need I buy it for him regardless what the date is and vice versa.
we don't buy each other for Xmas and now just buy for our grandson as we try to get away between xmas and NY (this country)and that's our 4 way gift to each other ,of course this year it might well be different, I buy for my niece , my best friend and my stepson who lives in Norfolk, but that's it
We no longer buy for each other. Instead we each make a donation to a charity that the other chooses. We do the same with our adult son n his wife. No presents from either side but give a small donation to charity.
I wouldn’t bother. What’s the point of spending money just for the sake of it?
We haven’t bought Christmas or birthday presents for years and years. And have never sent cards to each other.
Anything we want, we buy.
I bought Mr. J2 (now 87) a flight in a glider a couple of years ago. His son bought him a track day with a racing car last year. Is there a golfing 'experience day' you could find?
This year I am buying him a framed print of a cartoon in the Tel. which he really loved. Bonne chance!
