how do i find out what was there before my house as all of us who live find there is a very strong presence and stories that they have seen something

Ive emailed the local council asked neigbours etc, but still have no look in finding this out. as no one seams to know the answer. Ive often asked the exact same question about my house as many people have either saw something, heard something and on the odd occasion even felt something! If anyone knows the answer to this I would be grateful if you could email me on [Email address removed as per site policy. - AB Editor] and if i find out before anyone emails me then ill post whatever info i have on here.

Old Maps The best place to find out what was there before your house was built - assuming it is a modern one - is to look at old maps of the area. Your local library should be able to help. Or you could visit a website such as http://www.old-maps.co.uk/
