Arguably rather humiliating given the government was at odds with Rashford over this for ages. Still, a bit of silverware or whatever for Man United. Maybe an open top bus tour at the end of the season

Not queuing again, I couldn't bear it.
No he should not be given a medal for a single act. There are many people who daily throughout their lives do good acts and are never recognised.

Perhaps he should donate half his salary and time then I might be more open to a medal.

The PM could have totally ignored Rashford, and quashed his MBE.

The fact he didn’t is a good sign.
It's said every year that there are many people who do good things and are never recognised, that of course is true - however there are many on the list of 1.358 people awarded honours in the Birthday Honours list who were nominated and received recognition.

The Newspapers tend to concentrate of a few famous names.
