Already seeing their share price soar, Ocado want MORE.

In previous years, they upped the minimum basket price at Christmas from £40 to £90. Fair enough.

THIS year they’ve upped the delivery charge for Smart Pass shoppers from ZERO to £9.99 per delivery.

Loyalty to long-standing customers? You are, like Ocado, having a laugh.

But you did say you've never paid a "penny" for deliveries, it = £3 a week. Is the NHS free?

You pay for a delivery pass so that you don't pay individual delivery charges for each delivery you receive.

I see, the awkward squad is in this afternoon.

The NHS is not free. We pay National Insurance.

Ocado deliveries are not free. I pay a monthly Smart Pass fee.

Better?

But if I want a £50,000 heart transplant, it is free.

And if I want Ocado three times a week for the next month, they will, for no extra charge.

15.00 I can't see how I'm playing with words, just correcting a false statement. If you're paying for a shopping pass to have deliveries, then its not free. But Allen has now corrected it.

I pay £6.99 per month, this allows me to get daily deliveries if I can find a slot. Their service is excellent.

Should anyone want game meat (pheasant, partridge, pigeon, rabbit. venison etc) they could have a look at a Facebook group entitled 'Giving Up The Game' where people who have a surplus offer it up for free or a nominal amount so as not to waste it.

Allen, you misunderstand me. I don't pay for deliveries, I pay £2.99 smartpass subscription and have as many deliveries as I want, any day of the week. I don't know why you are paying £12.99 a month.

Just checked. I was confusing Prime (Amazon) with Smart Pass (Ocado).

On Ocado, I pay £10.99 a month for unlimited deliveries plus the various reductions.

Used to pay about £3 per delivery, often 6 per month, so Smart Pass made economic sense.

When (back in the early days of Covid) Ocado couldn't offer deliveries, they didn't come round giving us money off for the lack of contracted service, which is why I'm bleating now about their special Christmas Offer. They really are a greedy bunch. (Well, aren't they all?)

Allen, I'm still confused. I pay £2.99 for my Smartpass with free deliveries and £7.99 for Amazon Prime. Why are you paying so much more?
