Two years without heating or hot water and a toddler - it must be dreadful.

My question is not worthy of an answer then ?
Bazile mine neither but I didn't expect one to be honest ;-)
Perhaps it's meal time for the young master - patience.

Bazile, I can still have hot showers as that runs off a different system. Until recently we could turn the hot water on if we wanted a bath but now the tank has been taken out (it was rather unusually located in the master bedroom).

The heating has never really worked since we moved in but we have plug-in electric heaters for the rooms we use.

Bazile, I answered your question. I am actually doing other things besides AB !!
I'm generally cheerful, deal with things as they happen.

I have food, am warm and cosy.

Family is well and safe.

Only recent mishap was a plumber's visit to change a tap washer resulted in a new wash basin and a cross legged Mamya, but all resolved now.

Glad to hear that you are all sorted now Mamya.

All our new radiators and our new boiler were delivered the other week so hopefully it won't be much longer before we're up and running here.
Ah right - you moved into a property , which you have been renovating - is that correct ?
Question Author
Yes, Bazile. And so far we haven't had an uninterrupted supply of hot running water, without having to switch the hot water on (horrendously expensive thing to have to do) or pulling the cord for a hot shower.

Now we can't even turn the hot water on for baths or to do dishes but hopefully that will be remedied in the next couple of weeks.
'Grand designs ' haven't been filming , have they ? :-)
Question Author
No they haven't but it would have made for a good episode!
1. My internet is now working
2. I have only wasted half the day sorting out a virus on my laptop
3. My tooth and my arm only hurt a little bit
4. We might be moving!!
Ah, but you need to replace 2/3 of your original house with moulded concrete walls, and windows measuring 3 by 4 metres...
Sadly, none really.

Worked the weekend just gone to cover colleagues sickness, start nights tonight for 2 weeks for the same reason.
182 hours hols still left to take before April, plenty of overtime but nothing to spend it on(shopping trips/weekend excursions with O/H, holidays etc all postponed) and am just about to face the winter onslaught of flu/Covid 2.0, having worked all through the summer lockdown.

Woe is me, F M L.......
I have a start date for my new job
My pay rise is considerable that goes with the promotion
My raised veg boxes have arrived and I go on holiday next month
I just don't do cheerful.
well I have shopped, bought one Xmas present, then walked Maxie.

Now we are in our comfortable warm home and we luv it.
