Cats And Cake

My cat keeps coming home with big chunks of sponge cake that he sits in the garden and eats - no idea where he's getting it from. Whilst I don't suppose it's good for him will it actually harm him?

No. Mine eats curry. Makes him **** thru the eye of a needle but its fine.

Stupid arent they?!

Mine chucked up an entire mouse in the living room earlier. Looked so damn pleased with himself........

When the shopping comes I have to put the bakery stuff away first - he's been known to steal whole packets of crumpets, bagels, etc and he goes mental if there is a baguette knocking about.

I don't know where he's getting it from - it wasn't wet and soggy so not off someone's bird table. I've got the feeling that he's discovered someone's cat flap.

Seems that way - he only bothers me for treats when I'm doing the lunch boxes but he has taken to hanging off the oven door and 'looking' in when it's on.

We've had over excited dogs in the house and the cat has just stared at them like they are morons. Turn the Hoover on though....

Caspar is an indoor cat...so he doesn't bestow surprises on the carpet...
...unless you count chucking up the meal he's only just had.

But...in the past he's shown an interest in salami, parma ham, and olives...and no chucking.

Trouble is, now he has found a source he will keep going back. Perhaps make your own cat friendly cake?!

I've had cats before but never had one from a kitten. He sleeps on his back on boy #1's bed with his head on the pillow and he runs to greet the kids when they come home - he's like a little dog (a spoiled, pampered, ruined little dog).

I've had ASBO nearly 12 years. (He was the reason I joined AB!). He runs to greet me like a dog. He talks to me. He sleeps with his head on my pillow. He fetches stuff. He's an idiot. He's a bloody daft lovable stupid naughty idiot. I'm amazed he's lasted this long with his propensity for stupidness.

Still at least he doesnt eat cake........

Caspar would also sleep on my pillow if I let him. He'd also chew my hair...
But he'd also wake me half a dozen times a night with his shouting. So the dog gets allowed in the bedroom ...and I have to close the door on a very forlorn looking moggie.

I woke up the other morning and one of our cats had got into bed with me and his head was on the pillow next to mine. For a moment I thought my husband badly needed a shave!

Frankie wakes me up in the morning, I can almost cope with that. Frankie sitting on the pillow eating a live Spider is quite a shock first thing in the morning.

best not tell any of your neighbours in case they have lost cake and shouted at the kids. We had a cat called zabadak that used to dive into the water and retrieve ducks and pigeons that my husband had shot, he must have been watching the dogs, clever chap.

Its not very recommended for cats to eat cake, at least regularly.
