I have my old car up for sale. If I am luckily enough to sell it how best to take the payment? If we take a cheque then it can be cancelled before it clear, so can I ask for PayPal or cash? I suppose the other way is bank transfer but I don’t really want to hand out my bank details.
Thanks for any help

ok I meant that paypal is itself not a scam. There may be shysters out there using paypal some how, so fair enough it does seem to look like a scam. Generally people do not buy cars by paypal because it involves a fee that is a lot for thousands.
yeah it's basically trying to get you to pay "shipping Fees"!

It’s an old rav4 I have been perfectly honest and pointed out there are issues so I kinda knew straight away that this was a scam - no one would pay full price for a car with issues
I once sold a car through 'webuyanycar.com' and it was okay for me, quick and painless and not that much less than I could have got selling it privately.
I've heard bad things about it but it might be worth checking out. At least it is safe.

OK thanks. I used to have a 3D when I live in the Dales and loved it. They are quite rare now so I just wondered.
yes the cheque can be cancelled under the 2-4-6 scam
try cash
or even electtonic transfer
Be very careful lots of scams through gum tree going on just now all the use of PayPal. My friends buyer said the person she was buying for was shielding but would send courier to pick up item. Turns out scam
