Im about to write a paper concerning men and women in relation to discrimination. Ive been asked to consider ideas such as have we achieved equality between the sexes in the 21st century?, in what ways has such equality been achieved? and is it possible to live in a society without male chauvinism? Therefore, in order to make my paper stronger i would liek to hear other people's views. much appreciated!
no no no.it still very unfair system.take the pensions woman been at home child raising her husband leaves her,he gets full pension she lives on minimum about 54quid aweek his about 100quid and works pension.she brought up his kids.not enough time and space to list it all.
go into any london theatre half time the que of women waiting for the one toilet is that just one example of humilation.sadly this applys to newer theatres.this is one example.woman so use to every day problems in male run society they no think about it anymore.
Is that the unequal pension that women can claim from 60 but men not until they are 65, even though as shown in your example the men have actually worked and earned the money for?
What about family law where the power is almost always with the women?
We have specific laws on equality, therefore there is equality, for every chauvanist pig there is some lefty women who thinks all men are rapists.
What are the two highest positions in the land? We have had a female prime minister and we have a Queen not a king.
In short there is equality, but there is still plenty of people with sexist views (on both sides). I have told faith that at the point of birth a baby girl as every opportunity that a baby boy has.
men and women are not meant to have equality in my opinion. There are things that men excell in and things that women excell in - thats the whole point in having 2 sexes
