To me its one of the best tv series ever made and I've watched it several times as I have the boxed set. Recently found out it is available to watch for free on All4, am up to episode 5 and loving it all over again. Highly recommended.

a fellow big fan, hurrah for you. I loved every minute of it, best thing to come out of the USA ever. All the characters believable, the script divine, Aaron Sorkin what a master craftsman.
you can tell i love it, lol
i have watched the 7 series at least six times over the years, and it's time i revisited it.

Apparently Martin Sheen has been asked about standing for President but said it would never do for a pacifist to be POTUS. Couldn't be any worse than the shower that are up for election at the moment.
agreed, he may be a bit long in the tooth now, and is he a Democrat, i would have thought so.
he is 80, so no he wouldn't do it. I know Reagan was an actor, President, but he went rather off towards the end.

Emmie your last post made me laugh. Have you surfaced yet? There are 156 episodes so you must pace yourself at say 3 or 4 episodes a day but I do understand as it is so good.
One of the last Americans to wear the white hat.

Simpler times.
Designated survivor had some good moments to - I even watched the Korean version on Netflix.

Agree with you CAC. Enjoyed Designated Survivor as well. Another favourite, also written by Aaron Sorkin, is The Newsroom with Jeff Daniels. Its only 3 series but its another one I have watched many times. The first couple of episodes may be a bit confusing but then it all falls into place. Very funny in parts as well.
I have the Newsroom on dvd, have yet to watch it, but first back to the West Wing.
when i watch it, it tends to be binge time at the OK corral, can't help myself, i haven't watched it for at least a year, so catch up is just brilliant. thanks for posting about it. I could bang on about it so i would say good night, sweet dreams.
