Op went well & I was home by about 2:30. In part, the medics didn't want to keep me in with lots of Covid patients around.

Thanx mally. Thought bearing was just the E. Maybe am out of my depth but a felt the clue should of started with a word like PRODUCED/CREATED a bearing following loco. Will pop back later after work to see what a can learn

Well none, Dummyfluter. Carriage is indeed correct. It's easy to find where to put it as C is a given letter and the shape of the word gives it away. IMHO, 'bearing' is a perfectly good definition word. I felt all along that 'made' was problematic as it's a past participle whilst 'bearing' is a present participle/noun.
