What, We At The Bbc Biased? Of Course Not
BBC journalists are refusing to follow the new guidelines on the need for impartiality claiming that they are unnecessary, despite the fact that last year the Beeb spent £153,000 on Guardian newspapers to distribute to its staff, will the wake-up call ever come?

Yes, correct, it is necessary to have some balance in the MSM, which at the moment is far too left orientated & doesn't reflect the views of the main body of the general public of the UK which is societally (small c) conservative.
Do you have problem with that?

The media isn't nearly so biased towards the left as you'd think -- as you'd know if you paid attention to what genuine left/far-left commentators say when it comes to the media. The BBC is seen by many on the left as a centre-right body, for example.
The reason for this is not difficult to imagine. In actual practice, most "mainstream media" is centrist to some extent or another, and most commentators are terrible at judging bias because they, too, are biased.

"No such [right-biased news channel] currently exists..."
Well, at least you have the Daily Mail, the Telegraph, Express, etc. Not TV channels, but plenty to be going along with I'd have thought.
The purpose of choice is, I fear, diminished if the choices on offer are trying to sell you something rather than trying to present the truth.

jno //there was a right-biased news channel; it closed down three years ago for lack of viewers.//
Which TV channel was that & can you show some facts please, it seems strange as the right-leaning US Fox News is the most watched news channel in the US & the UK has a duly elected Conservative government with an 80 majority, so I would expect there to be plenty of scope for a more centrist to right news channel.
"In 2019, Fox News was the top-rated cable network, averaging 2.5 million viewers." (Wikipedia)
