Printer Printing Blank Pages
6 Answers
Good evening all,
I have a problem, and can't find any answer on google.
I bought a second hand Epson xp415 printer, mainly because i had some new unused inkjets for that model. I fitted the new cartridges, ran a nozzle check, the black was still not printing, but colour was great. I googled it, blocked print head seemed to be the best result, so followed instructions, which was: remove inkjets, get some paper towel fold it at 25mm sections, so you have a long strip,25mm wide, about 5 or 6 ply. wet it, push the ink carriage to one end, lay the paper on the track, pull the carriage over it and leave it for an hour. after an hour, removed it, it was full of all colours and black ink, so i repeated this a few times until it was clean. I dried everything off, replaced the inkjets, tried a nozzle check, plenty of the correct sounds, it made a usual printing noise, and out came a blank piece of paper. I have tried scanning, printing letters, printing from paint, same result, just perfectly clean blank paper, even though the printer is doing its usual backward and forward printing actions. I have tried different inkjets, tried windows troubleshooter, said no fault, reloaded drivers. All I have done is to remove excess ink from the print head,so, could it be air locked on all four jets, as it is just not squirting or dribbling any ink at all, just as though the inkjets were completely dry, even though they are full.
Thanks for any suggestions.
