Giving a 3 year old a mohican haircut? Is that just wrong or am I alone in this?

Was at the hairdressers on saturday and this woman was in there with her 3 year old son who was really cute with a lovely mop of dark hair. She got them to cut his hair, shaving the sides of his head and giving him a mohican. The kid was screaming the whole time, he didn't want his haircut at all but I just couldn't believe anyone would want to give their 3 year old such a haircut. He was so cute before and after they'd done it he looked like a little thug. It was so sad.
I suppose my question is would you give your 3 year old child such a haircut and what do you think of it?

I'm not a big fan of judging other people's lifestyles so I have to say I couldn't care less about the STYLE, it's just the matter of the kids consent to having it cut when he clearly didn't want to. A mohican is as good a cut as any other if the kid wanted it done, as a hairstyle doesn't make someone a thug or otherwise.
I think 3 year olds should look like 3 year olds, not teenagers or mini adults! They grow up too fast as it is. Pierced ears are fine when they're slightly older, 7 or 8 say, even but having a 3 year old myself, i would say its fairly dangerous, my son would accidentally rip his out in no time at all.
How dare you call people yobs and that they shouldnt be allowed to breed because of a hair cut!!
There are real ******** out there you shouldnt be allowed kids, but they are the ones who beat, abuse and hurt there children, NOT ones who cut their hair!!
I had a mohawk for years, my boyfriend has one just now and my son has gone from very long hair to mohawk to short hair loads of times over the years (he is 10 now)
Are you saying I'm a bad mother and shouldnt be allowed my son??

Mycats, you should pop along to the thread on kids having their ears pierced if you want to see some real judgemental tripe. You let your boy have his hair any damned way he likes, and you are the better, more respectful parent for it.Sadly some of the people who are moaning about other people's kids hair and ears being pierced are the ones who are actually treating their kids disrespectfully and like dumb automotons, bullying them into conforming to what they think "nice" people should look like.
