Lockdown - The Other Ttt Wouldn't Have Let This Happen.

The Tyrant Thatcher wouldn't have been a puppet like like Bojo the Clown. He's let Valance and Whitty pull his strings all though this. What?!! Close the country down?!! No way. Thatcher would have made them find another way because she was a really strong leader, unlike Johnson who's only interested in being a power mad despot, lacking leadership. I hated Thatcher and all she stood for, but at least she had leadership qualities. Enjoy your supermarket queueing folks - again!

She was a strong leader, but that does not mean that she could have done any better in the current circumstances, and to state that she would is not a fact, it's nostalgia-based imagination.
Towards the end of her time in power, even her most ardent supporters understood that the issue that dogged lady Thatcher's premiership - an acceptance of direct opposition, but not dissent from her own side - meant that she developed an inflexible attitude, and lost the ability to listen to a reasoned argument, even if it was proved to be right.
That approach did not serve her well then, it would not serve her well now.
