Thanks for posting the links LB. It wasn't much of a debate this year but that, of itself, is interesting. The comments were much more generally supportive and almost no defence of the industry. The industry themselves have put out a video asking for responsible and thoughful use but makes no mention of refraining from using them multiple times through the year or of making sure that folk only buy the fireworks that they have room to use safely.

Thanks ladybirder for the links. I watched the video yesterday on YouTube and it was interesting to see them talking about the reason why the sale of fireworks to the general public should be banned, but something happens after this (perhaps it's heard in Parliament) where it would be accepted or rejected and I wondered if woofgang would know.
