Which apparently even Nortons 2004 wont get rid of. Maybe if you can keep your connection open long enough, you can try sites like: http://www.spywarezapper.com/html/index.html
and see if they may be able to assist in removing this problem. The microsoft website doesnt unfortunately have any solutions that I could see. Have you tried using the Add/Remove programs facility in the control panel. That may help to delete your media player as well........... Good luck........
Don't use add/remove programmes as this won't get rid of the registry entry.....You need to have either Spybot search and destroy or adaware running (both are free - google for them) and then run reg cleaner and hunt for the entries in your registry in case any traces are left....don't leave this on your PC as it can rack up huge phone bills....
this forum has loads more info if you can wade through it all http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/index.php?showto
