On how soon they can put their Christmas lights up. Just saw a house that was lit up like Blackpool illuminations. Santa, snowflakes, Christmas tree, reindeer. It was all there.
My Christmas stuff outside consists of a Yule log decorated, and a few more fairy lights strung around a Christmas tree in a pot. Anything inflatable wouldn't last five minutes here. If the wind didn't blow it away it would probably get pinched by travellers :-)
We've got Christmas lights up round our patio still. It's dark out there and it makes a big difference.
We have a wicker reindeer that Mr BM bought for his daughter when she was little. He keeps threatening to put it on the roof. But the poor thing seems to end up getting moved round the garden and put in stupid places or compromising positions. Thankfully no one can see our lack of taste and childish humour.
St. Ives put their lights on end of October. First town in the country to do so.
The two best Christmas displays Mousehole and Angarrack have been cancelled this year.
