I don’t know but let me know if you find out, my partner of 8 years left me 7 weeks ago, totally destroyed my whole life, total shock, I lost him, my home, my stepdaughter, my circle of friends. I have nothing..... I’m broken, destroyed and the lowest I’ve ever been in my life. I’m trying to keep busy, spending time with friends, but it’s the nights home alone that starts it all off again x

Just takes time. Try not to wallow in the sad periods. Accept you feel down then find other things to focus on.

You do stuff that makes you happy, you learn that you are enough and you don't need them. Don't just move on move up, think about ways of growing and learning and maybe next time you like someone it might be different, if it isn't it won't matter so much.

This is not nearly as easy to answer as you might expect. We are all different, including in the ways we best respond to situations like this. For example, some people like to mourn, wallow even, while others get busy (as recommended earlier and/or pick themselves up, dust themselves off and keep moving forward.
