Mr Prya owns a very good Indian takeaway and cafe in West London near my son's house and whenever I visit it's a bit of a ritual to buy some of his excellent samousas, potato cakes etc.
My son is selling his house and moving away and so because of how things are I won't be able to say goodbye to an old friend, that is how we think of him although I don't know much about him apart from his being a cricket
fanatic and that he has a home in the mountains of Gujarat to where he plans to retire
I would like to send him a small goodbye momento of the last 20 years but finding it difficult to think of anything suitable
Any ideas?

Flowers - a good idea, indeed
That's a lovely thought, Haras. I was going to suggest looking at cricket gifts from Lords. I've bought things for cricket fans. Mamya's idea is lovely.
How much do you want to spend?
Sounds like a good title for a film...A Present for Mr Prya :)
What a nice idea.

Price is quite elastic, it's more important that I get it right
Maybe up to £50 and we can split it 2 ways

Thank you all
There's such a lot to look through
Will let you know what we decide on but it will take a wee while
I would've suggested cricket season tickets for next year but.........

Maybe a cricket jumper/tank top?
Or a piece of cricket memorabilia from ebay. Something old and unusual.
eBay has miniature cricket bats signed by Indian teams and individual players

I have finally decided what to get for Mr Priya but the road has been long and winding.
I loved the idea of flowers but they are not going to last.
The amount of cricket stuff out there is so vast, I just didn't know where to start.
You'll probably think it pretty boring but I finally decided on a set of a pens from Wales which is where I'm from, in a nice box.
I'm hopeless at links anymore complicated than Whatsapp but they are on the Etsy site under the heading:
Dragon Design chrome Pen Box and Two pen set if any one can be bothered
Thank you all

Thank you Mamyalynne for putting it on
Just hope he likes it!
(but it's the thought that counts!)
