Has to be the 60s, I loved my mini skirts and with 32inch legs I carried them off, same as hot pants, 70s came with tank tops and shirts with F-off collars , high waisted trousers called loons and platform shoes, what fashion was your best.....
And worst, c'mon Spill :0)))

I don't think you can beat the 1920's for stylish clothes, but of course I wasn't around then. I'm boho all the way, hippy chic, I always said I'd be a grannie with a spliff and a Kaftan calling everyone Dah-ling.

Oh yes Dynasty etc or Dine-asty as the Americans call it :0)
Mrs sqad says the 20s and her favourite dress is still one taken on one of our cruises, fashioned on the 20,s
She says the 60,s were fun, but for fashion.....1920s
During the 70s, most of my mates were slaves of the latest trend. From Oxford Bags and tank-tops, to two-tone suits and Crombie jackets, etc, etc, etc. I could never understand why, when they spent their working hours in uniform, they all wanted to look the same as everyone else during their leisure hours?
Slightly before my time Sqad, but yes, the flapper dresses looked good

I wore one for our silver wedding

I liked the seventies for the stacked heels, gave me the chance to see the world from a tall person's perspective ;-)
Us 70's Soulies had our own look.
Bet you still have the tight fairisle tank top and loon pants AV. Suits you sir. :))
tight fairisle tank top and loon pants AV.

Wot, that sound like hippy type cr errr I mean fashion to me ;-)

High waist band Oxford bags, capped sleeve T shirt, Fred Perry or Ben Sherman shirt and Solatio shoes if you please.
Oh year, and a leather trench coat.
There's a thing. Back in 65 I had a pair of bottle green suede slip on Italian shoes with the upper vamp being a matt leather piece that I would love to have back. Your shoes are back in vogue at least AV. Not sure about the big pants.
The sixties...closely followed by the 70s.
Loved mini skirts...my favourite was choco9brown with matching tights and platform shoes...made my legs look longer. ;)
In the seventies everything was embroidered...lots of flowers on my jeans, worn with waistcoat.
Also maxie coats...I had a gorgeous black one that skimmed my ankles. My mum also made things for me including a Russian style coat like this...mine was white fake leather trimmed in black. Late 60s I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan's clothing district...I was hoping to do fashion illustration.

No I suppose the big bags won't be back ( my grandad said 'we used to wear trousers like that in the 20's' ! ).
lots of flowers on my jeans, worn with waistcoat.

Mmmmmm, did you also have one of those Kaftan coats, pasta ?
Deffo the 20's. I got married in a brown/black pin stripe suit with cream and brown brogues. Put a Thompson in my arms with a Fedora and I'd be Al Capone. That was style in those days. The Great Fatsby. :-)
Original mod talking here. 6 Weeks in Brighton in summer 1964 aged 16. Mohair suits, regimental tie with stud collar shirts( the shirt dyed with a white collar)Peter Christian chinos, original levi jeans that weighed half a stone, parkas that cost half a crown and are now selling for £1200. Full length wine colour leather coat with a vent that went to the small of my back. But it was more than that. It was an attitude, a determination not to take second best or compromise. We were the soft revolution that has been copied by every generation since but never matched. We were upwardly mobile by inclination.
I like the 20s as well. Coco Chanel was a fashion icon and her style revolutionised the way women dressed.
Mmmmmm, did you also have one of those Kaftan coats, pasta ?

The stinky ones? Yes. I remember going to buy it. Racks of them in an unused office block. Oh the whiff! But I loved my coat.

LOL, them hippies ( that wore those things ) did pong a bit, pasta.
