Thankyou gen2
obviously the other two are quite correct as well Thankyou all
I was going to say potty (yes bb - can't help it!) but I note the question was "what do you call someone who uses" a malapropism? Is there actually a word for it? Something like "malappropriator" perhaps?

One of my favourites was the lady who told me she had bought a new fire distinguisher for her car! :o)
Or the woman in childbirth who had to be seduced in order to speed up the delivery process.
A person using the wrong words is a malapropist.
Or the lady standing next to me in the paint department of John Lewis years ago who asked in a loud voice if they had a Durex colour chart! :o)
Thank you kk :o)
That's a good one Dustybun - LOL.
A neighbour of mine some years ago said she was going to have to have an exdirectomy! (hysterectomy!)
good one bookwormer - some absolutely appalling jokes leap into the mind from that one!! lol :o)
