Chiropractors- good or not?
12 Answers
I went to the chiropractor today for my first proper adjustment and she twisted my neck both ways making a loud cracking sound. Afterwards my neck was really sore and I could hardly turn my head. I complained to the receptionist and she got me back in for a bit of a neck pummel. All day I have felt really tired, which she said was likely to happen. Neck feels a lot easier now but at the time I was really concerned. Has this happened to you?

I've been a regular at my osteopath for years and years. Was away on a training course with a friend a few years back and had a terribly painful neck - was unable to turn my head to the right at all - another friend in the area recommended her chiropactor - this friend was a professional sportswoman and someone whose opinion I respected. I got an emrgency appointment and after twenty minutes walked out of the surgery without any pain whatsoever, fully able to move my head normally. Would add that I think it's particularly important to find a really good chiropractor and to fully discuss treatment beforehand.
