My Eyes!
75 Answers
So I've tested positive for Covid. I was exposed to the virus one week ago.
No temperature, no cough to really speak of, no anosmia ... just a very runny nose, aching joints and muscle cramps and sore eyes. The eyes are quite sore but all other symptoms are on the mild end of the scale.
Is this the calm before the storm or have I got off lightly?
My husband and son are presently asymptomatic.

Thankfully, you have it mildly, CG, and I'm pleased to see you acknowledge it as such. Much more sensible than making a drama of it unnecessaril y. Scaremongeri ng helps no one. I wish you well.

Yes, this is my point too. When people start to drop their guard because they think somehow the virus has mutated to something like the Flu (which in itself can be fatal) this will be when it will take hold again. People who seem to contract it with little or no symptoms are still as contagious as those who end up on life support.

No, CG, no tests. Me and Mrs A have always been fairly antisocial, so don't mix with anybody.
Currently she's in cardio ward at local hospital, with a totally non-Covid condition, and they test EVERYTHING there for signs of infection.
I'm old, fat, one-legged, have various conditions, but overall I feel fine! I hope all your various problems abate, and that you, too, will face the future in happier conditions.

since you are working
on the numbers game the mortality for your cohort seems to be around 0.1% - 1 in 1000.

well done for playing down a disease which on age alone you were likely to have a mild course
onset at three days is worth remembering
oh what I wanted to ask - was did you know you had it from the off? My nephew knew who he got it off ( london airport )
