First Class Stamp

Apologies if this has already been posted (no pun intended) but it has been announced that the price of a first Class stamp will rise by 9p to 85p from January 1st 2021. Stock up now if you use them regularly.

Normally buy my second class stamps on Amazon which is a wee bit cheaper than from the post office. I do buy festive ones from the PO for the few Christmas cards I do send.

Didn't know that Maggiebee so I just checked and it showed 12 x 2nd class stamps at £12.85. That makes them considerably more expensive than usual. Can I ask how much you pay?

12 second class stamps should be £7.80 - I've just bought 12!

From next year it will be £7.92

I have used Philatelink for my stamps for years and have always been 2p or 3p cheaper than post office. Unfortunately they are now out of stock and with the virus they are not able to get new stock in from their suppliers as easy although managed to get 5 books of 12 x 2nd class last week at a total cost of £34.75 that makes each stamp .58p which I think is excellent value plus free delivery.

I bulk buy from Philatelink too, managed to get an order in a month ago though stocks were desperately low.

Just checked and all 1st and 2nd class stamps are shown out of stock.

I was referring to second class dannyk, and your post said 'does it not say 12 x 2nd class (2)?'. I replied that the page I looked at doesn't, now you say it refers to a book of 1st class stamps. I'm a bit confused.

25 second class for £24.42 - that is roughly a£1 each.

i buy what i need from \Amazon, it is more expensive but saves me schlepping to the post office. I don't buy more than a dozen stamps a year at any rate,

It should be £3.90 for a book of six second class and I can't find any on Amazon under £6. (I used 65p for my maths which could be wrong)
