..walked through a spiders web.
It wasn't one of those spider webs that entangle you, it was a spider web that was really fine and just clung to you.
After wiping it away from my face I wondered if other people appreciate spiders as much as I do.
How lovely to see a thread promoting spiders, thanks 1ozzy, I love them. They kill flies and that's good enough for me. Sitting in a room with a fly buzzing around is such an annoying experience. And their stunningly intricate webs glistening on the shrubs in the garden lift my heart. I would not knowingly kill one and I do the usual glass and piece of paper to return any interloper to the garden if it's in the way. Otherwise it can stay where it is, indoors or out.
I too have walked through a spider's web unknowingly and then felt the critter scampering across my face! I screamed! I don't love them, but I don't hate them either. I won't kill them and if possible I will try and put them outside, but normally I live and let live.
Spider webs are gorgeous...I've not seen any in ages. I don't particularly want to walk into one though. But I once put a jumper on, and there was a spider in the sleeve.
i don't mind them if they are outside, leave well alone, some though have strung themselves across the ceiling lights on the balcony and i often end up with a face full of web.
Spiders /Rats etc hold no fear for me since running electric cables and such through old (and new) buildings in some of rhe creepiest places under floors, attics etc... I don't think i'd be as dismissive if in Oz though.
As for webs, dew in the morning on them looking through a window they do look awesome.
