My relative needs to prove her ID and has none of the following acceptable forms of ID:

How long does it take to get a provisional driving licence? She has no intention of driving but can see no other way - a passport is too expensive.

Yes, the GP is an option - it would be easier if we weren't in tier 3 of lockdown

Boy #2 just got his provisional licence but you need a photo and £34 so it’s not a cheap option. Came really quickly though, less than a week.

I pointed out the irony of a gun licence for a bank account!

And of course it has just dawned on us that the provisional licence is only valid for 2 years and no doubt this problem will pop up again in the future.

No point in a national ID card as you would need proof of who you are to get it.

Once she has a Prov Licence, she can renew it in the future. My relative has always kept one for the same reason. She has never driven or taken a test.
