It was quite graphic in the original showing, I think they cut some of it out when it went on general release...

In today's standards it would probably look quite tame...

i did see it not long ago, on TV, it is rarely shown. i know in the old John Wayne westerns they dubbed in him saying 'fire over their heads' many years later to avoid the abuse they got.
