I am buying this for a Xmas present but would anybody know is it charged up first and then ready for use.

Also it mentions gel to be put on feet - what would that be. thanks

I'm in a bit of a pickle then as I was asked to buy it. I think they only oul gimmicky things.

What foot problem does the person have? I have been seeing a Neuro physiotherapist for foot and back problems. She was adamant that I did not get one of these as she said they would not help me. After getting positive results from a borrowed Tens Neuro stimulator I bought my own. I use it to improve circulation and muscle tone in my feet and legs. Has the person received medical advice of any sort as to what machine they should use and why. I would not use one without advice

It looks like it's mains electricity. I wouldn't waste money on "special" gels - damp feet should do the job. I have something similar. It's not magic, but my feet feel better...

There's no charging necessary for the device, as it's mains-powered via a 9-volt adapter. It's supplied with one 85ml tube of conductive gel. (A small amount has to be rubbed into the soles of the user's feet before using the machine). Additional tubes of conductive gel can be purchased online:
