can my ex partner stop me taking our daughter on holiday we should be going in two weeks and now he says he will put a stop to me taking her can he do this
it depends on who has custody etc etc,is there a court order, are you going abroad, many things to take into cosideration.need more info, consult a solicitor or cab
i have a court order for custody we were never married he has PR and there is a contact order for him to have her every wednesday and every 3rd weekend but i let him have her monday n friday n the 1st weekend of each month instead he asked for her last week all week an wen i said no he said he will put a stop to me taking her away so i let him have her but now he wants her again from today till sunday n i've said no he has got her this weekend anyway from friday till monday. We are going to dominican republic for 2 weeks can he stop me
As you obviously have a residence order I cannot think that he could prevent you from taking the child on holiday. If he believed that you were not intending to return he would have to get the courts to put an injunction in place and surely you can prove that all you intend is to go on holiday for a couple of weeks. Tell him to stop being a bully and to get his facts straight!
If the name in your daughter's passport is not the same as yours you might have trouble at the airline check in desk or wherever the passports are scrutinised. I've known cases where this has been a real problem. It might be an idea to take the birth certificate with you.
thank you i personally cant see y he has a problem as i have took her on holiday for 2 weeks for the last 4 years but he did this last year a few weeks before i was due to go aswell it just makes really worried the thought he can still tell me wat to do
ADVICE, at least he shows interest in his child, would you complain if he didnt care, just tell him were your going and name of hotel, you can sort it no probs
