Query On Registering A Guarantee
25 Answers
I recently bought a new fridge freezer. I tried to register the guarantee. So difficult. There was a part of it that said ‘I am not a robot’. Then there were pictures that popped where you had to spot traffic lights or mountains. Eventually, I did not succeed in doing this registration, I got really fed up, so I decided to contact the firm by email to complain. The email would not send as it would not accept my postcode. Anyone else had trouble or has anyone any advice please

Where there are still photo counters in supermarkets, they're now franchise operations operated by firms such as Max Spielmann, who're most definitely 'specialists'. (Max Spielmann has been around for many decades and is a very well-respected photo-processing specialist, even though they're now part of a much bigger group of companies, Timpson, which has its fingers in many more pies).
I always thought that it's the retailer who is responsible for the goods for the first 12 months? I'm definitely no expert but many years ago I bought a video recorder at a well known store; the video went faulty after a month so I took it back and they gave me the phone number of the supplier. I refused and said the responsibilty was with the vendor as I had been sold faulty goods. I told them I wanted a replacement, not a repair. I got the replacement in the end after arguing for 45 minutes with the manager. I never send guarantees off.
