Trojan horse virus found on my computer
2 Answers
Seeking assurance that provided only https sites are used to give CC details etc, then the chance of my accounts being raided and / or identity stolen are at a minimum.
Presumably, the villains who gather this sort of info have so much of it that it's a lottery as to who gets targeted?

As for on websites; only ever give details like your credit card information to those sites that use https, with the padlock at the bottom.
Also, choose good passwords for your accounts. If you use a program like PasswordSafe to remember your passwords for you, then let that program generate a random password for you. If you keep your passwords in your head, then choose a really weird phrase that you can easily remember like "some ducks are pink".

I found a Trojan Horse after running avast! and dealt with it.
My question related to the time between the TH arriving and its zapping.
Presumably my security was then at risk.
But what about now?
iI any of my details have been stolen, presumably the thief does not require to access my computer, he has other ways of misusing the info?
