An old tomcat came to the garden a couple of months ago. He was little more than skin and bone. Over the last couple of days he couldn't jump up to his place on the sofa. He didn't move from the bed we made for him and this evening he screeched a couple of times and died.
He wasn't a lifelong pet but you can quickly develop affection for a pet.
