Months ago I was all for mask wearing, (yes another mask thread) but you really ( don't ) have to join in. Having seen, like others, people wearing masks, taking them off, putting them on,in and out of shops, wearing under the chin, using their mobile phone with the mask dangling, wrapped round the phone, mask stuffed into the back pocket, I've even seen people placing them on the table in cafes, pubs and so forth. So the question is has the mask really helped the spread of the virus, considering we are continually touching our face area more than we would without a mask, but with a contaminated one.?

Please note, I said may be. :0)
A moot point.
Of course you were wrong.
Teacake I too tjought masks were sensible initially but now am sure they are hastening the spread. Masks (and gloves) are only good if they are kept sterile too

I think it was NJ who thought it to be a bad idea at the time, seeing the way people are using the masks and for long periods without changing they must be invested with the virus, and many more. Doctors and nurses are using them for one visit to one patient, so really that speaks for its self.
