So far around 10% of us, maybe 15% tops, have had covid That includes only 10-15% of over 70s and over 80s have had it. And we've had well over 60000 deaths. Another 600+ today announced.

We could leave it to run free until it runs out of peopel to kill after maybe 250000 deaths in UK, so depends whether you think thats a vote winner. Herd immunity needs around 70% to have had it and even then it will still kill some, just a lot less
But if your wanting that your ignoring the fact that hospitals will collapse with the numbers involved.

and america is getting near that (300 000)

and no - altho it is non intuitive, only 36 000 000 needs get it with 360 000 deaths in order to starve the flame out

because it will die out when 60% have had it.
