Sainsbury's was quiet, so was Aldi, I've got everything in now , bit of tidying up to do, then box sets and relax. only queue was at the pharmacy counter. It's mostly a dry Christmas for me but I will have mulled wine and miss a dose of my happy pills tonight.
Question Author
Hi rowan, enjoy the mulled wine, best wishes to you.
How much are fags nowadays? The last Senior Service ones I bought were 2/11d (14p) for 20. I suppose they've slightly risen in price since then, maybe doubled even?
Sparkly, I have no reason to wish you well but if nothing else this year has taught me life is very short. So merry Christmas, and a good new year. Please, to you and all the other smokers on her, please make this the year you give up. It was too late for Dave, if I can spare one more husband or wife the loss then I will be so relieved.
My husband has just been to the supermarket. He said the shelves were well-stacked but staff were just standing around because the shop was practically empty. Weird innit.
Everyone got their panic buying in early. I used to work in the West end, I loved getting out early Christmas Eve, Oxford street would be nearly empty and the smaller shops had great pre sale specials

A bit harsh.
Many Spar shops (and the like) are run by Asians, the majority of which are Muslim. They do not celebrate Christmas and some in my area will be open throughout the festive season.
Naomi, i did my pre-Christmas shop yesterday in Tesco and i was in and out in 30 minutes. Perhaps it's a sign that people are buying less because of the restricted number of guests they can invite to Xmas dindins, and are therefore doing their shop that much quicker?

I thought that.
I have a long memory. Dave said never forgive but As I said life is too short but also sometimes you have to address something that was cruel and unnecessary before you can set it aside. There are some on here who will know what I am talking about. And I will never mention it again as I know I will never get an apology.

waitrose getting busy, I was only meeting someone for a coffee and saw the queues.
