Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

fiery fred is the nick-name of Fred Trueman the cricketer , so presume it is something at/on the crease .

This question is from the Rainbow Quiz - The closing date is not until 30th November - shouldn't you try to think it out for a while !!!

In the past, most ABers have respected this quiz and refrained from asking questions about it until they have spent 7 or eight weeks exhausting their own efforts. Three months is plenty of time to do your pondering and searching without giving up on the very first day.

Can we assume that you have solved the other 99 clues and were just stuck on this one? If not, then it comes across to the rest of us that you have a very cavalier attitude to this splendid quiz that deserves some serious deliberations.

This was my point yesterday regarding another quiz with a closing date of January. Didnt really get many who agreed with me but I do think if they are going to ask to at least put the title of the quiz in the quesiton then maybe people will think twice about answering so early
