Just have had a wee look at them all around the house and I sorta wonder - it's so nice for people to go to the effort - first of all - thinking of you and then posting them, along with most of the cards like a little personal message for 2021.

I always enjoyed reading my cards after Christmas and will do until I put them away for another wee look and another year.

I have missed 2 siblings cards (2 bros) but their children have made up for them. ie Nieces and nephews.

It sorta makes you feel good that people go to that trouble for you.

You didn't say that when someone posted one through your door quite late at night!!

LOL - quite right Darcy - you've got a point there but you know that person who posted is a real fantastic sweetheart, I was just frightened.

I haven't seen her but when I do I will let her know. Thanks for that reminder Darcy. x
I like to make individual cards for people (using desktop publishing software) when I can. I admit to getting lazy this year though and just using a picture from the web, together with a bit of text in a suitable font, for the card that I sent to most people:

I did get a bit more adventurous (and cheeky) though with one or two cards, such as this one that I sent to the hospital chemotherapy staff:

;-)
PS: Although there's a thread tonight about recycling Christmas cards, I always keep the ones from 'special' people. I've still got some from several decades ago.
I keep special ones too and recycle the others one way or another.
Yep, keep the special ones, I have some from a really long time ago ( and Birthday cards ).
I reuse what I can, making them part of new cards. Fewer every year, only about a dozen. Used to be nearer fifty
I make my own cards but all told its less than 20 now....and yes i keep the special ones.
that card for you chemo team is great Buenchico!
The cards I do get, which are becoming fewer and fewer each year as people cotton on that I don’t send any, are opened, read, put in a pile somewhere and then thrown out in the new year.
Everyone who means something to me, in all parts of the world, use email to keep in touch. I view Christmas cards as a waste of money and dust gatherers.
This is the card I made for my godson who is a musician. Made it digitally then printed it. https://ibb.co/W01sp8S
They all go to the re cycling thingy.
I always keep special ones like from my nan. She doesn't write much in them but she gives all her grandchildren money every year in the card.
